Orphanage in Vietnam – Nov 2009

A visit to one of the beneficiaries of the Le Hoang Foundation--an orphanage in Hue at Duc Son Pagoda was quite memorable.  Needless to say, the visit was filled with love, laughter, and joy as we saw the results of your generous contributions on the faces of the children at these orphanages. With your assistance, the Le Hoang Foundation was able to provide these children with some basic necessities that we often take for granted, like toothbrushes and toothpastes. Some children were wearing new school uniforms which were purchased at our last visit in March 2009. [slideshow id=4 w=300 h=300]

Operation Smile Vietnam – Nov 2009

November 2009 marked an important milestone as Operation Smile Vietnam celebrated 20 years of helping provide new lives and new smiles for the children of Vietnam. The anniversary was commemorated with 16 simultaneous surgical and dental missions held from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City from November 4-16 thanks to the dedication of more than 300 international medical volunteers from Vietnam as well as the U.S., the Philippines, the U.K., Canada, India, Norway, Hong Kong, China, Ireland, Australia, Brazil, Belgium, Italy and Cambodia.The teams worked tirelessly to provide free surgical and dental treatment for thousands Vietnamese children suffering ...

Operation Smile, a leading not-for-profit which has provided life-altering facial surgery for more than 120,000 children around the world, presented an unforgettable evening that will chart a new future for generations of children in Vietnam. This premiere dinner and auction gala, held on October 2, 2009 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel raised support, awareness, and funds for the children of Operation Smile Vietnam. Le Hoang Foundation donated $10,000 USD which were used to purchase dental supplies for the Vietnam dental mission during November 4-16, 2009. [slideshow id=7 w=300 h=300]
